Creative Home Theater Connect DTS-610
Creative has released a great product for those wanting to use their computers high end soundcard to provide music via their stereo. The DTS-610 gets around one of the most annoying issues when it comes to playing purchased content over your stereo. Usually you are unable to just hook up your computer to your stereo and play DRM music. Well the DTS-610 lets you use the standard outputs from your soundcard and outputs it in either digital coax or optical.
Another option for hooking this into your stereo is to connect your outgoing coax to it and then hook it up to your stereo via optical( and the other way around ).
This is a great product for those wanting to forgo using a network to hook your PC and stereo up, since this is a direct connection between the two. And because it uses its own onboard DTS encoder you won't notice any slowdown on your PC.
So all in all we think this is a great idea for anyone that has already spent money on one of the high end soundcards out there. If you don't own a high end surround sound card then this might not be the best option for you since you would not be able to take advantage of using the digital aspect of it.
You can pick one up here.
