Logitech Wireless DJ Music System
Logitech has gone out on a limb and come up with a new twist on streaming music around your house. Enter the Wireless DJ Music System. While this looks like an ordinary remote it is far from it.
This system comes with 3 parts. First you have the transmitter that connects to your PC via USB. Next you have the remote which is the hub of the entire system and finally you have the receiver that is hooked up to your stereo.
The included software can scan your PC for music as well as let you specify what folders it should use. The transmitter sends out signal that the remote and receiver pick up. With the remote you can scan your music collection via the decent sized LCD screen. You can select individual songs or create playlists on the fly.
The unit is very attractive and from what we have read very easy to use. Once you have selected the song or songs you want to hear you just need to hit the play button to start the streaming. The transmitter will start streaming out the songs you selected and the receiver will start pumping them out over your stereo.
This seems like a great little device and we are very intrigued by this approach to streaming music. They mention on their site that you can enjoy your music throughout your house without the need for a wireless network. While we think it is cool that they decided to bypass using the wireless network, people have complained that the presence of one can cause interference with playback.
All in all we are pretty pleased with what we have read and when we get our hands on one we'll be sure to write up a nice detailed review for you all.
