PSP 3.80 Firmware Allows Media Streaming From the Palm of Your Hand

OK so we are slightly late in reporting this, but we just stumbled across it and not actually owning a PSP we really weren't out there looking for info on PSP media streaming. Either way, it looks like a really cool update....if you live in Japan. Here is a list of the new functionality that is in the new update.
  • Streaming Internet Radio player
  • Video scene search
  • RSS now supports OPML and pictures
  • PSP-2000 owners with 1Seg tuners can use an EPG to schedule Japanese mobile
  • Television recordings
  • PlayStation Spot now available at BB Mobile Point (Japan only)
We can guess that some of these features might find their way into their US counterpart, but we doubt that they all will. If we hear of anything about this making its way State side we will be sure to update you at least a month late.
