Apple TV Take 2 - HD Movie Rentals with the Apple TV

The new update for Apple TV is out, and now you can download and rent a movie in HD (high definition). We thought we'd go through the update for all you Apple TV owners, and then see how easy it is to rent a movie in HD on the Apple TV.

This is the old interface. We need to check to see if there's an update.

Score! The Apple TV Hd Rental Service update (and other features) is available.

Okay a few minutes remaining. Very excited. HD on the way...hmmm what will we rent?

The dreaded progress bar. Update Apple TV - UPDATE!

The new UI has two layers out to view instead of
navigating into Movies then seeing the second part.

Ahh...2010..Roy Schneider just passed away and we haven't seen that movie in awhile.

Nice. Just navigate over to the rental button and select.

Sweet. That was easy. The Apple TV makes renting HD movies actually fun AND easy.

Wow. That was fast. You can watch it while it's still downloading. We think we'll wait.
Renting a HD movie with the Apple TV Take 2 is really easy. You'll need an iTunes store account, and iTunes or the Apple TV to rent HD movies.
We can now look forward to never opening another HD movie in the mail or going to the local video store. Also, it's only 2008, and the movie we rented was from 2010 - how cool is that? Apple really does have the future of TV and HD movies in their hands.
