Blu-ray Managed Copy to Become Mandatory in 2010

Managed Copy, the ability to make a single copy of a Blu-ray disc to BDs, DVDs, PMPs, or other electronics has to this point been optional. But as of next year, the AACS LA, the agency that is in charge of Blu-ray digital rights, is making it mandatory, meaning that any downloader will be able to save at least one copy. And don't forget that the download may not be a freebie, depending on the studio issuing it.
