AMEX's new Blu-ray Recorder Super Multi-Drive for MacBook, Pro and Air is multi-functional with Dual/Double Layer recording. Attachable by USB 2.0, it has a Crystal Tilt/Blur Compensator for better recording/playing and a SATA drive with 30% faster data transfer rate. The BDR-S1 / BDR-T28 4X can play or record, make back-up for CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. The tray-loading recorder uses ECO S.M.A.R.T that will maximize its battery life about 40%. This is a good thing as the recorder will set you back $599.00.
