Verizon FiOS Launches App Store

Following the pattern of other companies, Verizon FiOS has launched a Widget Bazaar app store and Internet Video on TV. Users will be eventually able to connect to Twitter, ESPN, Facebook, Veoh, blip.tv, and Dailymotion. Home Media DVR customers will be able to stream personal videos from their PCs. FLV, WMV, MPEG-1, AVI, MPG, PM4/M4V, 3GP/3G2 files will be compatible with the service. Verizon also plans future free and for-pay apps in the future.
