Vinyl Makes a Comeback Bigtime

abbey_road1.jpg

What goes around comes around, literally. While CD sales keep shrinking, there seems to be a resurgence of vinyl as 89% more LPs were sold last year as compared to the previous one. Nielsen says that the #1 seller was Radiohead's "In Rainbows" (which came out in January and therefore had a running start.) Second was the Beatles' "Abbey Road" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" ranked 7th. We can honestly say that we are glad that a new generation is discovering the joys of a scratchy record. While digital audio may be crystal clear, it is still not the same as listening to some of the earliest Fab Four experiments in stereo.
