Nokia Money Service to Come in 2010

Nokia plans to launch a mobile financial service next year based on Obopay, a mobile payment platform that the phone maker invested in earlier this year. Instead of a bank account, users will be charged a fee for each payment of the service that uses text messages and mobile Internet access. Chief Development Officer Mary McDowell said that there are "4 billion mobile phone users globally but only 1.6 billion bank accounts and 1 billion credit cards."
