Eye-Fi App Available for iPhone

Say buh-bye to your USB. Eye-Fi cards are nifty devices that send your images and/or video from your camera to a server via your router, then your PC with automatic back-up. The technology is referred to as TransferJet and about 40 electronics companies are developing devices with it. The speed is about 560 Mbps, faster than USB 2.0 and, because of the short range, the 4.48GHz tech utilizes less power.

The cards themselves have been out for a while, but the company recently added a free app for iPhone and has begun to offer the service in the UK this month.
