OLPC 3rd Generation Prototype

We haven't heard much lately from the folks at One Laptop Per Child, although a peek at their site shows that they are still being distributed. Yves Behar, of the fuseproject, has designed its third generation with an 8.5 x 11" flexible plastic touchscreen and wireless charging. Best of all, the tablet will supposedly have a $75.00 price tag. The newest OLPC is due out in 2012.

Free WiFi Under the Golden Arches

Strike 3, Starbucks. McDonald's began offering McCafe, redesigned many of their restaurants and will now be offering free WiFi courtesy of AT&T. They were charging $2.95 for two hours, but will cut the fee beginning in January at 11,000 of its 14,000 locations in the US. They also plan on selling frappes and smoothies to go with those fries and will soon have a dollar menu for breakfast.
