Wi-Fi Alliance Developing 60 GHz Frequency

The Wi-Fi Alliance has teamed with WiGig to develop a 60 gigahertz frequency band for high speed between devices in the same room. Although it may not be available for about 2 years, the technology may show up in Blu-ray players that will send signals to TVs. In the future, digital cams may send wirelss signals as well. The Alliance's Edgar Figueroa says that means super speeds of gigabits per second.
