Device-to-Device Wireless Coming Soon

networkicons.jpg

The WiFi Alliance has designed device-to-device wireless technology that, when fully developed, will be able to find connections without having to buy coffee at Starbucks. Instead, it will signal other enabled devices that it is available. WiFi Direct will soon be accessible on the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 Adapter, Atheros' XSPAN Dual-band 802.11n PCIe Mini Card, Broadcom's BCM43224 Dual-Band M, IMO PCIe Half Mini Card and Realtek's RTL8192CE-VA4 HM92C00 PCIe mini card.
