Wifi Hotspots to Reach 11 Billion by 2014?

In-Stat research claims that WiFi hotspot connects have reached 2 billion as of the end of 2010 and that it will widen to 11 billion by 2014. Asia/Pacific is said to gain about a quarter of the venue and by 2010 handhelds will account for about half of it. Somehow this figure doesn't surprise us as more smartphones, laptops and other electronics have WiFi built-in.
