A year ago producer Ridley Scott and director Kevin Macdonald asked "ordinary" people to film footage to contribute to "Life in a Day." After 80,000 videos uploaded that made up 4,500 hrs of footage from 192 countries, the premiere finally took place last Friday at selected theaters. With YouTube and National Geographic sponsoring the documentary, the film contains what its editor calls "time capsule footage."
