Kickstarter Adopts New Guidelines

kickstarter.jpg

We sometimes wonder about Kickstarter when we see some projects that are wishful at best and only supported by vague sketches. They seem to have the same attitude and have tightened up their requirements. Instead of simulations or renderings, projects must include a working prototype. There is also a "Risk and Challenges" section that will foresee any problems ahead. Finally, no more multiple quantities can be offered as a reward premium.

Dock Extender for Encased iPhones

phoneextender.jpg

Is your iPhone not compatible with most docks because you have it wrapped up in a case that looks good but is much too thick to make it compatible? Cosmos' black Dock Extender is good for most iPhones, iPads and iPods. The 30 pin male to female extender adds a bit of space and comes with a cable tie for ease of usage.

LIFX Smart Light Bulb

smartbulb.jpg

A Kickstarter light bulb project has been embraced by humans and will soon become reality. Not only can the LIFX be turned on and off with a smartphone, it has a few other tricks it can perform. Alter brightness, create a color scheme or use it to notify you when somebody tweets you or messages from Facebook. The LED bulb saves energy as well as impressing those who clearly will know that you are a great entertainer.

iPhone 5 Third Party Accessories

itronzcover.jpgiphoneconnector.jpg

It didn't take long for third-party companies to start producing generic accessories for the iPhone 5.iTronz already has a leather Wallet Case complete with credit card slots and Nanotek has a cheaper less expensive Cable for those who want the phone, but not the high price for connection to other devices. No doubt there will be plenty more generic alternatives in the days to come.

Note: Rumor has it that there is an authenticator chip in its adapters so you might want to see if there is a return policiy just in case or hold off on generic ones.

There's an authenticator chip in the official adapters, and third-party adapters probably won't work without it.

Freakin' Friday! Breaking Bad Plushies

breaking_bad_plushies.jpg

OMG! We absolutely adore Breaking Bad! The more evil Walt gets, the more we like it. Jesse now seems a wuss in comparison. So how much of an oxymoron are these plushies? Made by MissCoffee, another fan, the set was made for an LA art gallery and not for sale unless enough of us can convince her to mass produce.

breakingbad.jpg

Btw, if you haven't seen Breaking Bad, shame on you! Catch up on the current Season 5 as well as previous ones.
