LG Network Blu-ray Players with Netcast

LG has released two Network Blu-ray Disc Players with "NetCast Entertainment Access," a new generation of the BD300. Both the BD 370 and the BD 390 were on display at the CES 2009 and feature WiFi capability, 1080p up-scaling, instant access to Roxio, CinemaNow, Netflix, and YouTube, as well as other entertainment channels. The BD 390 has 1GB memory for BD Live, wireless capability and has the very cool option of download-to-own and pay-per-view with one remote click.

Pioneer iPhone/iPod Compatible Receivers

Pioneer has released a series of A/V Receivers that not only make a fine addition to any audio system, they have integrated iPhone/iPod for plug and play with full-color GUI and remote control. Each has Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR,) Auto Level Control (ALC) and an Auto Music-Mute function when a call is received. Choose between the VSX-819AH, the VSX-919AH or the VSX-1019AH A/V Receiver.

Onkyo Japan has released the C-S5VL SACD player with their A-5VL digital amp with 2 channel 90W sound. Record and play CD-R/RW,WMA or MP3 discs with its noise reduction and no-jitter integration. Freakin Friday! Adcom Bounces Back with GFA-555SE Amp

Adcom hasn't been at the forefront of the market for a while now, but they have reorganized to create their Special Edition 2 channel stereo amplifier. The GFA-555SE has been upgraded to meet ETL/ETLc, FCC, LVD and CE/EMC requirements with FR-4 circuit boards. Specs in brief:

  • 200 watts per channel, 8 ohms
  • 300 watts per channel, 4 ohms
  • 600 Watts Bridged 8 ohms
  • 2.5 dB Dynamic Headroom

The amp is available for $1,299.00 and Adcom is planning to roll out more products through 2010. They also have a trade-in program so check their site to see if you qualify.

The UK based Naim has stretched their line of audio products with an all-in-one home entertainment system. The NaimUniti has an integrated amp, IR player, DAB/FM tuner, CD player, and iPod and MP3 dock. It also features a USB and network stored player, network streamer and analogue converter. Let us not forget the 10, count 'em, 10 inputs with 50W per channel. This is about all the audio you'll need in one convenient unit for £1995 (~$3,025.00.)
