PURE Outs EVOKE-1S Radio

PURE's new EVOKE-1S will surely be a hit with Spinal Tap fans as it has a digital volume control that peaks at 11. Composed of vinyl and wood, it has brass controls, a speaker grill and OLED display. Other features include a 3" drive unit, 30 station pre-sets, input for iPod/MP3 player and alarm capability. Only on sale in the UK for now, the radio comes with a MSRP of £120 (~$188.00.)

As usual, Marantz delivers only the best in electronics. Their NA7004 Network Audio Player can convert digital to analog, is DLNA version 1.5-certified and has a USB front-panel input. Of course it also can receive Internet radio. Compatible with most formats, it has a M-XPort for Bluetooth streaming when used with optional RX101 Bluetooth Receiver. The player is available for pre-order now.

Clock radios have come a long way. iHome's iA100ZE docks your iPad/iPhone/iPod and makes it into an alarm clock, it has an FM tuner, features Bluetooth connectivity and has Bongiovi Digital Power Station circuitry. Even more clever, it is app enhanced with iHome+Sleep so that you can get custom alarms, social media alerts, news and weather, and more. No news yet on price and release date.

Logic3 TimeCube for iPhone and touch

Logic3 has released the i-Station TimeCube for iPhone and iPod touch. The speaker system doubles as a portable radio/alarm clock and of course recharges when your device is docked. It also has snooze and sleep functions, an LED clock with dimmer levels and three different alarm functions, buzzer, FM or wake to tunes.

Marantz's Latest CD Player and Integrated Amp

Marantz has unveiled their latest CD Player and Integrated Amplifier. The CD 5004 has a range of 100dB, a frequency Response of 2Hz - 20000Hz and RCA, digital and coaxial outputs.

The PM5004 has a 40 W output per channel, a frequency response of 10Hz - 50kHz, a S/N ratio of 103dB and two speaker outputs. Look for them to debut in July.

Bel Canto Improved Stereo Amps

Bel Canto has outted new stereo amplifiers. Both claim to reduce sensitivity, lower noise and deliver better sound. The compact S125 features a 117dB dynamic range to 4 ohm speakers. The REF150 amp also has the same range with 75 watts into 8 ohms and 150 watts into 4 ohms. Both are now available for purchase.

T12 Soundbar Features Spatial Stereo

English musician Ted Fletcher helped develop Orbitsound's T12 soundbar with its spatial stereo technology. In plain English, that means surround sound from anywhere in the room. The device can attach to iPods, iPods, and has a 3.5mm jack and RCA port for your other musical gadgets. The T12 will be available this month for £300 (~$440.)
