Amazon Free VOD and Xmas MP3s

Amazon has begun to offer a free VOD when you order one of their movies. The deal is good for hundreds of Blu-ray and DVD titles. We expect this is their latest move to compete with both Walmart and Sears, as the two companies have lowered their prices on discs to get your holiday business. Amazon is also offering a free Christmas MP3 Download daily until December 25.

MDV GPS System Incorporates Audio/Video

Now that GPS is often available in cell phones, one wonders about the future of companies that offer them. JVC and Kenwood got together to create the MDV-313 that not only features car navigation, but offers a DVD player, TV tuner and USB iPod support. To be released in Japan first, it remains to be seen if other manufacturers decide to incorporate other features in their products.

SanDisk Sansa Clip Plus MP3 Player

We love advanced technology. Most known for their SD cards, SanDisk also ventures out into the music world with their Sansa Clip Plus MP3 Player. Storage of the 2.2 x 1.4 x .06" is immense considering its size. It will hold up to 1000 songs, 2400 photos or 12 hours of video on its 4 GB memory, expandable with memory cards, of course. lt also features a digital FM tuner with 40 presets, a rechargeable battery that will last up to 15 hours, a built-in clip and a price that won't break the bank.

Charge Your iPod/iPhone with PocketDock

SendStation's PocketDock is an inexpensive alternative for your iPhone/iPod. Attach by USB to your home or car stereo, PC, PDA or any other audio equipment and sync and charge with HiFi stereo quality. It comes with both a 3.5mm to 3.5mm connection and a 3.5mm to mini RCA plug. Add to that portability, charging and less power usage and we think the low price makes it a winner.

BlueBeat - Download for a Quarter

There's a new download service in town. BlueBeat offers MP3s for only 25¢ apiece. That's right, a mere quarter will get you a tune from Michael Jackson, The Beatles (although EMI is "looking into it,") Taylor Swift, or almost any other artist you can think of. Full albums are accessible for $4.25 each. The beta site requires free sign up and we hope that it manages to stay afloat.
