Canon Wireless File Transmitters

If you own a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark II or EOS 7D camera, you can now wirelessly beam your photographs to your computer with one of their three Wireless File Transmitters. Its FTP mode allows event photographers to send images back to the PC for instant print or projection onto the event screen. Priced at around $700.00, the device can also turn on up to 10 cameras simultaneously with its linking function.

Eye-Fi Share Wireless SDHC Memory Card

Would you like a latte to go with that slide show? Eye-Fi has released a wireless SDHC Memory Card that allows uploading of images from a camera to 25 online sharing sights through a PC without need of the Internet or a router. The Share card has Selective Transfer so that the user can choose which photos they want and each of them will be automatically saved and geotagged. All photos stay on the card until manually deleted. Pictures can also be uploaded ad hoc at any hotspot or Wayport.

Asus My Cinema Dual TV Card

Asus has released a Dual TV card that can allow recording and watching analog and video at the same time while reducing CPU loading. The (take a breath) My Cinema-EHD3-100/NAQ/FM/AV/MCE RC PCI-express card has a speed of up to 500MB/second, about 3 times faster than a conventional bus. Asus also has a new widget they have named GadgeTV, an enlargeable screen that allows watching, recording and taking single shots of live TV from a sidebar.

KDDI au Box Driven By Android

Motorola will be using Android to create KDDI's multipurpose set top box. The "au Box" can play and rip CDs, has storage for transferring to a mobile device via USB and of course play DVDs through video encoding. They will be on display at Japan's CEATEC this October and Masataka Miura, chairman of Open Embedded Software Foundation (OESF), says that JVC is also considering developing an Android TV.
