Freakin' Friday! NIX Frame Has Motion Detection

We have shown you plenty of digital frames, but the portable NIX Hu-Motion Digital Picture Frame is clearly different. The 8" frame turns on/off automatically when anyone (or anything) triggers it. The device features a high res 800 x 600 SVGA LED backlit screen with 4:3 ratio and has a 1GB memory that will store up to 8000 photos. Sharp Combines Cell Phones With Frame

Sharp has produced a nifty accessory to go with their some of their cellies. The JD-3C1CL/CW series has a 2.8" display with a 240×320 resolution that can show caller ID or, even better, an image of that person if you have it registered. The combination dock/digital frame has 64MB of internal memory and 32GB SDHC card support, and can double as a clock/calendar.

Digital Frame Doubles as USB Monitor

China's Win Accord has a 10.4" digital photo frame that will accept images from SD cards, stick readers and USB flash drives. Even better, the DF10411-13, with its EzDisplay software, can also function as a USB monitor for your netbook when used with an AC adapter. This one has just passed the FCC, so it will be a while before you see it in retail stores.

Freakin' Friday! Aiptek 3D Photo Frame

A while back, Aiptek introduced their i2 3D Camcorder and now they have released a digital Photo Frame to go with it. The 7" parallax LCD display can show images and videos taken by the i2 or other 3D cam without the viewer needing glasses. You can get both for ~$400 when the frame is released in August, certainly a less expensive deal than opting for a 3D TV.

Archos to Release Android Tablets

Archos has two new Android based tablets designed for those who want more than a smartphone and less than a PC. Due out in June, both can play videos, music and photos, and can also access the Interweb at prices around $200.00. The 7 Tablet has a 7" touchscreen with built-in WiFi and USB for transferring files. It will be available in both 2 and 8GB models.
The 8 Home Tablet features an 8" touchscreen and holds 4GB memory. This would certainly be a good addition to any kitchen with the ability to download recipes and be used as a digital frame while cleaning up the dishes.
