Sharp Joins 3D TV Bandwagon

Not content to merely add yellow to its HDTVs, Sharp now plans to launch 3D TVs this summer with the same technology. The company believes that its high response speed will help eliminate "crosstalk," the ghostly double images that can occur in 3D. Sharp also plans to make displays for cellies and other mobile devices that will not need glasses, but you will still need them for the TVs.

Sharp has released a teaser for their new QUATTRON TV with the color yellow that is only as good as the TV that you are watching it on. But the thing we liked best is that during the spot there was a disclaimer that an actor was an "expert." Yeah. Who doesn't know who George Takei is? Then again, maybe they were in on the joke.
