Freakin' Friday! Panasonic Audio System for HD 3D


Panasonic has recently released a wireless home theater audio system designed for HD 3D. The virtual 7.1-channel SCZT2 Speaker System includes two ultra-slim poles speakers with a 1" tweeter and 5" woofer. The system is compatible with their DMP-BDT350 Blu-ray 3D player and ARC, which allows it to receive TV audio signals via HDMI.

Seagate adds Netflix and YouTube Streaming


Seagate's FreeAgent Theater+, HD media player and Go External Drive has added a free firmware update that will allow it to stream Netflix, YouTube, vTuner and Mediafly. It also serves as a UPnP/DLNA device to play content stored on PCs and external drives.

uPlay Connects Wirelessly


The QED Live uPlay Bluetooth Receiver was made for iPod, iPhone, PDAs, laptops and other Bluetooth enabled electronics. The Puck wirelessly connects to your audio system, amp or home theater with a range of 5 - 10m, as long as it doesn't need to go through walls. Connect the transmitter to your Bluetooth device and the receiver to the audio source for a simplified connection. The device has yet to hit the states and no price has been released as yet.

NVIDIA to Release 3DTV Play


NVIDIA has announced the release of 3DTV Play, a connection for GeForce-based notebooks and PCs to HDTVs. The software app supports 1080p24, 720p60 and 720p50 3D formats. Active shutter or passive polarized glasses can be used for viewing.

The system can also convert games from 2D to 3D, will appear sometime later this spring and will be priced at $39.99. Those how already use NVIDIA 3D Vision will score a free copy. If you would like to see it in action, check out the "Panasonic Touch the Future Tour" going on through April, where you can see the Play as well as Panasonic's first 3D Home Theater.

The Universal WiFi Internet Adapter for Home Theater Devices and Gaming Consoles streams via Ethernet and will also be available for $79.00 this May.

The first time we were introduced to Bose we were in a mall many years ago and looked at the price then looked away, but it truly is a remarkable sounding system in its mini-form.
