Verizon Rules the Air
Move over AT&T. No feeble commercials for us. No pasty faced actor bragging about rollover minutes or coverage. We got us some fine looking, trendy actors and a whole lot of shiny CGI to impress. Why, we heard that Networking Audio Video issued a NAVi award to us for our "Rule the Air" spot. Aren't we awesome?

PadLock Embarrasses iPad Thieves
We like nothing better than freeware here at NAV and think that the Padlock deserves a NAVi award. When your iPad, iPhone or iPod becomes unattached from your Mac (whether on purpose or by some nasty thief,) a loud noise disturbs you and everyone else around you at that WiFi café. To disable, simply plug your device back in or turn off internally. You can download PadLock at Kitchen Budapest.

iTable Debuts at 2010 CeBIT
We have to admit that we so want the PQLabs multi-touch iTable. Making its debut at the CeBIT in Germany, the 42" HD LED display is only 1.5" thick. This honorary NAVi Award winner will recognize up to 32 fingers or different objects and can be used either for business conferences or just playing around.

Freakin' Friday! FloTV Ads Entertain and Help Haiti
We have to give a shout out to FloTV for their spots during this year's Super Bowl. Qualcomm certainly deserves a NAVi Award for convincing us that we shouldn't be without one. Case in point, the ad that featured Will I.Am. with the remix of the Who's "My Generation." By the way, if you download the tune for a mere $1.29, all proceeds go to Haiti relief.

NAVi Award Winner - Jane Lynch and Xbox 360
Not only does "Best In Show" actor Jane Lynch make us want to run out and order the first season of "Glee," she and Microsoft's "More Fun Time" campaign can sell us an Xbox 360 in a heartbeat. Here's to you, Jane and Microsoft, and we grant you a NAVi Award.

NAVi Award Winner - Verizon Droid
We have to award another NAVi for Verizon's new commercial "Stealth." With pods landing all over the planet, they keep the new phone fairly mysterious. We don't care. You go, Droid.

NAVi Award Winner - myTouch Google Phone
We all have to admit that we see Google ads and click on them once in awhile and can be influenced by the best and worst of TV ads. To this end, we are incorporating a new feature in NAV, an "I want it simply because the commercial is so good," which we find is the ultimate networking tool in action. So our first NAVi Award goes to the T-Mobile myTouch Google phone. The ad features Whoopi Goldberg, Phil Jackson and Jesse James. The background tune from Yusuf Islam (nee Cat Stevens) certainly deserves honorable mention.
