Funai Multi-Functional Universal I-Remote


Funai's I-Remote runs on Android 1.5 and has a 7" touch sensitive screen. The universal remote features a WiFi module for Internet access and can be used as a DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) to play video clips from PC to TV. It can also be used as a digital photo frame to display both images and videos from an SD card. Look for it sometime this year with a price around $300.00.

The Warpia USB Audio/Video Adapter allows you to hook up to your PC to your TV wirelessly with a simple display base station and a USB 2.0 adapter. The base station connects through your computer's VGA PC port or HDMI and audio connects via a 3.5mm stereo jack. When connected, it will work up to a 30 ft. range with HD at 720p with a max resolution of 1400x1050.

D-Link Creates Boxee Set Top Box


Boxee isn't just software anymore (although they have released an updated beta version.) D-Link's Box features an HDMI output, Ethernet and USB ports and built-in WiFi allowing the Interweb be seen in all its glory on your TV. Controlled by RF remote, it can play any non-DRM media and hook you up with your buds on social networking sites. Look for a $200.00 price when it debuts in Q2 2010.

Western Digital has unveiled a smaller, cheaper less expensive TV HD Media Player. Designed to playback media stored on a USB or portable drive, the digital content can be played in up to 1080i HD on an HDTV. At a size of 2.8 x 1.6 x 3.2", the mini player, like its larger brother, can play music, video and photos and supports most formats including RMVB. Compatible with storage devices, cameras and camcorders, it has component and composite video output as well as digital optical audio output via SPDIF.

Boxee Windows Version Available, Adds MLB and More


Boxee has added some new features. One of them is the streaming MLB.TV Premium that includes live and on-demand games, with the ability to pause and rewind. Users can now stream music and create photo slideshows from Tumblr and CurrentTV is available now for news and entertainment. Check their blog for other improvements But perhaps the best news is that
their Windows version is now available in public beta, so if you have wanted to try it out, now is the time.
