Pros and Cons of the iPad

After seeing the iPad last night on Jimmy Fallon with Engadget's Josh Topolsky, we have come to this conclusion. We love the eReader part of it, hate the price, love the gazillion applications, hate that you can only do one thing at a time, love that you can download stuff from your iPhone, hate that it has no camera, love some of the games, hate that it will not play flash. There you go. Do we still want one? Of course. What do you think? Here's another clip to help you decide.

Skype Drops Windows Mobile and Java Services

skype_logo.png

Skype has decided to drop its usage with Windows Mobile and Java phones. The download pages were deleted after it was determined that the limited country list for Skype Lite and overage of minutes usage made it more of a hindrance than a help. The Windows Mobile OS app was fairly unstable without a single mobile operating partner. Nokia will still have access to Skype for Symbian and some of the Java phones may as well.

HP to Release Pocket Cam

hppocketcam.jpg

Okay, it's purple but it is also amazingly priced at $109.00. HP's entry into the mini-camcorder category is the V1020h with 720p recording, SDHC card reading, a built-in USB plug and HDMI port for uploading. It has only 128MB of memory but has the advantage of a 2x zoom. The pocket cam should be out this summer, along with a couple of budget-friendly point and shoot cams.

Freakin' Friday! FloTV Ads Entertain and Help Haiti

We have to give a shout out to FloTV for their spots during this year's Super Bowl. Qualcomm certainly deserves a NAVi Award for convincing us that we shouldn't be without one. Case in point, the ad that featured Will I.Am. with the remix of the Who's "My Generation." By the way, if you download the tune for a mere $1.29, all proceeds go to Haiti relief.
