Monster Home Theater Controller

It may look like your basic remote, but this July, Monster will release their MCC AV50 Home Theater Controller. With Web-based setup, this is simplicity at its best as it only needs touch commands like "play a DVD."

The company has also collaborated with chipmaker RedMere with the result being SuperThin Cables. Using MagniEye technology, HD signals are sent directly through the cable and need no external power supply. The cords are only 3.5mm in diameter, about 65% thinner than normal HDMI cables. Available in 4, 8 and 16' lengths, the cables will be priced from $89.95 to $119.95.

Logitech Harmony Adapter for PS3

Logitech recently launched its Harmony Adapter for Playstation 3 that
supports all 51 commands. The accessory converts Harmony IR commands to Bluetooth signals with a simple guided set up. Play a game, turn your PS3 on or off, watch a DVD or Blu-ray movie with one button press. The adapter is AC powered, a good thing if you want instant use, a bad thing if you thought it would work when the PS3 is powered down.

Accenda also has a Voice Control for lazy busy iPod owners. Models compatible include nano 1/2/3G, touch, iPod with color display, mini, iPod with Click Wheel, iPod with video and classic.

Belkin Conserve Surge Protectors

Admit it. You leave your computer on when not necessary, you keep your DVR on for the clock, and you often forget to unplug appliances because you use their LEDs as nightlights. Belkin has released Conserve Energy-Saving Surge Protectors to cut back on that standby power. The remote switch turns devices on or off with one switch click, while routers and other devices can be plugged into Always-On outlets. Choose between an
8 Switchable and 2 Always-On model
or a 10/2 Protector for home theaters.
